Distortion

In the real world,
The struggle for finding oneself
Seeking spiritual attainment
For the quest of the query

The shadow of tree
Tells a different story
Of the reality distorted;
The unreal world
As likely to be called

An enlightenment of unreality,
An intuitive work of schizophrenia
Been blinded by the unreal distortion
Of the real world.

"Dark and Twisty"

Things aren't always meant to be the way we want it to be. One moment you are really happy, only to find the next moment a bomb was dropped to shatter all your hopes; all your beliefs, you knew that won’t last, like the previous one. But still negotiating with our heart, raising above all the blackened sights, we are ready to take the challenge, face the risk that stands against us, to make ourselves understand that life is meant to be this way. Every time we are able to dodge a hurdle from our way, we feel competent enough to survive this game of life. To let ourselves feel proud of how we are winning the game named ‘Survival of the Fittest’ and how perfectly we are suited for the competition.

But between all this race; this competition, we all, for once, want to sought solace in the company of warm hands and soothing voice that speaks tranquility, but not to be sympathize, who understand the difference of what is to be praised, but not pitied. Before we even realize, all the damage is done and there’s nothing we could do, time seems to move in slow motion and we can’t make it stop. We don’t feel the need to regret because that is how we choose to repair; to glue all the broken parts together.  Call it ‘Dark and Twisty’ for that is how it is meant to be, isn't it?
