Love Letter to a very special #MagicOfLove

"I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that were all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you."

We all wish for love like Augustus and Hazel someday.
Every love story has its own magic. Love is not something we all wait for, it just happens.

A love letter for my future love, so that when I cross paths with him someday, I could draw this letter out from the pocket of my overcoat and hand it over to him before we part ways -

"To the very special you,

I remember the beautiful morning, my eyes waking up to a bright sunlight reflecting through the large window. I smell the aroma of the coffee beans coming from the next door; the couple singing together to the cooing of the birds.

A broad smile etched on my face, I dream of a fairy tale...

Draped in exotic fragrance
You hold in your cup
The black silk coffee
Let me drink into it
And leave behind the taste
Of our sweet and bold love.

I have got a long day today, but as I write this, I hope this letter finds you in the pink of health. I know you wait for me somewhere in the future…

In the heart of winter,
Waiting to be embraced
While we try to touch one’s soul
The cold wind blowing
Whispers the moan…

The only thing I ask of you is trust. We will ride together the roller coasters of life; engulf me in your dark secrets and I will try to bring a ray of hope into it. I promise to be your shining stars in the dark nights.

If I lay here
By your side,
Will you hold my hand
And stare at the stars?
Bury all your secrets in my skin
And slip away into dreams.

Let us fall in love. Give me a pen and our love will stay alive forever. I want to fly and tell the whole world about it. And when we grow old together, I want you to hold my hand and read this letter to me.

I know, in a parallel universe, you have already found this letter. You smile at me and say,” Let us disappear and create a new love story. We’ll meet again under the sun and the stars, the sky and the clouds. And I’ll read this letter to you again.”

I love you
'N'

  2. Despite the awkwardness around the idea of it, I’m a firm believer in the power of a love letter. I’ve written quite a few, all private. It’s a godsend. Because, you see, I’m a whole lot better on paper than in person. When you’re writing a love letter, you need to get out of your way and just write it. This sort of writing should be the least filtered piece of writing you can do. The typos, the redundant wording, the oddly placed commas, those are all irrelevant. They are secondary, an afterthought, after you’re done crafting the power of your message. Now, this can’t be left unsaid: a love letter is not all flowers and puppies. It’s not simply a proclamation of love. I’ve experienced that the most powerful love letters are those where you reveal yourself in every single way. The good and the bad.Love letters are life-changing because it’s one of the few times when you can muster up that ultimate courage that comes with being vulnerable. It’s you dropping your pants and taking off your shirt and saying, “This is me, sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad, but I promise that I’ll always try my best.”

    1. Hello,

Thank you for taking out time to leave behind your beautiful thought. Well, I wouldn't disagree with what you said, but for me as a writer, even when I am writing a love letter to someone or to myself- the typos, the oddly placed commas- all play a crucial role for me. This is something I can detach myself from, and those oddly place comma doesn't hide my vulnerability. It still would be right there spinning out of my words.
